You will feel a gentle warming of your skin for the Laser Genesis (Nd:yag) part. Even though its warm, its very relaxing and people liken it to being in the sun or like warm raindrops falling on their face. For the IPL part it has been described as a rubber band being snapped against the skin and can be mildly uncomfortable, not painful.
There may be some mild downtime with this treatment – Treated pigment will turn darker (brown to black) within 24-48 hours, but this will lighten. Short term redness (erythema) is common and swelling (edema) of the treated area may occur, but this is temporary.
Avoid Retinol for 3 to 5 days prior to your treatment. Avoid sun exposure and fake tan for at least 2 weeks prior. Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks prior (waxing, depilatories, etc.)
